Book review on Silent Defiance by Sonua Motwani

Silent Defiance by Sonia Motwani is a collection of poems.

The author has penned down her thoughts beautifully in the form of a poem and engages the reader to enjoy the essence of the book. It’s an easy read and heartwarming. There are poems which are difficult to understand the hidden meaning behind the phrase, yet this book is totally understandable, relatable, and one can reap through it.

I could find the author’s writing style is like Rupi Kaur’s writing, yet they had their own abstraction of revealing things.

These poems are carved from the concept like love, hurt, envy, peace, jealous, self-discovery, change, self-love, empowering, bravery, passion, and what not included to derive this blissful collection.

Through her words she has created a revolutionary thought filled with self-love, self-discovery and empowerment. It’s always soothing to read a selfless poem like these bringing enlightenment in oneself.

Some of my favorite poems are,
“You cannot bring
shine in your castle
by setting fire in
someone’s kingdom.”
- envy
Making someone
Understand your
Self-worth
Is like speaking
In the language
They don’t wish to know.
- stop pleading

I loved these poems very much; it depicts the truth of life. And there are more lines that touched my heart.

Choosing appropriate titles for writing a poem and adding flavours by including current topics that we deal throughout our life is appreciable and the author has done her part within an impressive outcome.

I would like to recommend this book all readers who loves short poetry collection.
My rating is 🌟🌟🌟🌟 for this heart-touching poem collection.

Book Review on Loveswept by Prasupta Roy

Loveswept by Prasupta Roy is a Romantic emotional fiction.

About the story:

The story is about Kaushik and Anushka who loved each other and their love was eternal. Kaushik works in a college and Anushka works as a librarian in an institute. Fate made them meet each other and gradually love swept their heart.

There comes a twist and storm in their love life, an unexpected warp.  Kaushik sacrifices everything for his family and made a tough choice.

What happens next? What storm that crossed their life? Is Kaushik destined to Anu? What has fate decided to play in their life? Lies the suspense of the story.

About the book:

This is the first book I chose to read written by this author. The plot of the story was beautifully written and made us intrigued throughout the book. It was a short read and I enjoyed each and every line of the book.

Whether it may be love or anger or sacrifice, every line was described in a mind blowing way. Among the normal love stories this book did have something that draws readers to enjoy the essence of the story.

The Story is too emotional and I can perceive the feelings of the characters portrayed. Each personality’s presence was carefully depicted and had their own importance in the story. The language was kept simple, flow was good and the pacing of the story was precise and intact.

I was touched by Anu’s patience and willingness to sacrifice her life for pure love. There was some selfishness in Kaushik’s sacrifice as it was meant for his family on the other hand Anu didn’t have any compulsion to abide with Kaushik yet she accepted the same.

I would like to recommend this book to readers who prefer to Romance genre mixed with emotional-touch.

My rating is 🌟🌟🌟🌟 for this beautiful book.

Book Review on Hijabistan by Sabyn Javeri

Hijabistan by Sabyn Javeri is a collection short stories dealt with emotions of Muslim women hidden behind their Hijab.
The book contains 16 short stories each having their own significance. Certain stories were meaningful and engaging yet some stories lacked explanation. All the stories were filled with erotic feelings concealed by Muslim women unveiled through the authors thought, that one denies divulging.
The Hijab concept practiced only in Muslim community and these women are bound to it. Upon wearing them they become invisible not only from the world but also in expressing their perceptions and emotion.
The author has penned down her thoughts about the true nature of the society and how Muslim women are treated by abandoning their thoughts and feelings. The author exposed the truth with utmost honesty. As all the stories based on Muslim women’s and their culture, we might lack to interpret the true meaning behind the storyline at some places.
Stories I liked most are “The Lovers”, “Fifty Shades at Fifty” and “Coach Annie”. These stories explicitly describes the feelings and desires that woman faced today irrespective of woman empowerment in some places.
The cover of the book is beautiful and appropriate that matches the book content.
I would like to recommend this book to all readers who loves short stories inclined with erotic touch.
My rating is 🌟🌟🌟🌠 for this short read.

The story whirls around protagonist Zinna, a Lambren stifled in the world of Super dome with her friends. All Lambren’s are destined to be terminated once they reach the age of 16 years, a rule posed on them by the Altklugs.

Altklugs are born with superlative knowledge and coherent with 6.25 human years in their one year portrays them as a super power.

Unanticipated events, revealing hidden secrets and their impact on Lambrens life are heart drenching.

Who are these Altklugs?  Why they want to destroy Lambrens? What happens next? Will the lamebrens survive this pre destined fate? What part does Zinnia plays to save her friends? Lies the suspense of the story.

About the book:

This is a dystopian Novel and a wonderful work done by the author. The plot of the story is drafted in a very blissful manner that makes the readers intrigued and obliged.

Bravery is a main component that revolves throughout the story. Zinnia, an intelligent girl and her love and affection towards her friends brings warmth among the readers. Unexpected twist and turns filled with joy, anger, authority, slavery etc., drives the story in an energetic way.

This book propels more into scientific knowledge whether it may be a charabanc, or having controlled weather conditions or using advance technology for day today activities makes us awestruck.

Each lambren possesses individual skills yet they need time to develop oneself unlike Altkugs who are more efficient leaves lambren as useless. When it comes to poetry reciting, crafting knowledge gives an added essence and flavour to the story.

The pacing of the story is precise and intact. Language is easy to understand and an unputdownable book with engaging story line. I would like to recommend this book to all readers who loves dystopian based novel.

I am delighted to read this book and expecting the release of the second part of Super Dome chronicles soon.
