Book Review on They Go to Sleep by Saugata Chakraborty

They Go to Sleep by Saugata Chakraborty is a collection of short stories with suspense and thriller intake. Each story has their own uniqueness. The author’s writing style is good yet at certain places the language was difficult to adhere.
Writing a short story involving suspense and maintaining the visibility of all the characters throughout is a difficult task yet the author written it so beautifully and made us involve completely into it.
Stories I liked the most are, “It was time” and “What’s in a name? were really good. The author could have given a shot of expanding the 12 stories in a brief manner and publish them as a separate book filling more suspense and thrilling effect, a suggestion that crept my mind.
The title of each story is mind-blowing and apt matching their plot’s exactly. To write a suspense thriller, creativity is required and putting all those knots and removing the same without dissolving the essence of the story must have great effort and efficiency, and the author mastered the same in a magnificent way.
Overall the book was good, and I would recommend it to all readers who love short stories mixed with suspense and thriller effect.
My rating is 🌟🌟🌟🌠 for this short read.

Book Review on Invisible ties by Nadya A R

Invisible Ties by Nadya. A.R is a fiction work.

About the story:

The story whirls around protagonist Noor a young lady who marries Meekaal an investment banker, lives in Singapore. Noor was bound to this marriage after a tragedy that happened in her house. She abided her mother’s word and ended up in this loveless marriage.
In Singapore, she takes care of her mother-in-law Banu. With her life in new place she take psychotherapy classes and ends up in getting new acquaintance Ella and Jake as a part of her healing session.
Noor is more of a subtle person who is interested in exploring artistic things and creates her own shield, and she has a mirror stolen from her mom which carries all her latent thoughts.
What happens next? What was that tragedy that occurred in her house? What is that mirror all about? Will she sustain the marriage relationship? What’s the role of her friends in her life? Lies the suspense of the story.

About the book:

The title is so apt for this book as you have so many invisible concepts underlying within the tale. The plot of the story is entirely different where one cannot predict the nature of the story until you complete the book. Initial chapters were bit confusing but gradually the story took its pace.
Noor is trying to find something but its not clear of what she is trying to do. She never tries to cope up with her marriage life, yet constantly searches of something. Mixed feelings love, empathy, advise, responsibility etc., what not included? makes this story a pleasant one.
All those history details about Mughals, sprinkled in between the story was admirable. I always have an urge and interest of exploring Muslim culture and had a feast of enjoying those flavors in the story. The author spattered about the traditional touch of Tamilians, Chinese and Singaporeans that gave an added essence to the story.
The authors narrative skill is excellent, yet clarity is required at some places. Overall, it’s a good read. I would recommend this book to all readers who like to read a story with different context.
My rating is 🌟🌟🌟🌠 for this vivid book.

"Book Review on Kaalkoot by S.Venkatesh"

Kaalkoot by S. Venkatesh is a science fiction linked with Bio war.

About the story:

The story whirls around protagonist Sam aka Sameer, a bank agent unexpectedly drawn into something dangerous while searching his missing girlfriend Ananya. He is meant to achieve something big which is too much for a normal person.
Other part of story deals with Prof. Bani who involves in a research work seeking the veracity, that happened before our independence and its root cause leading to current situation linking Bio-War.
And there is an agent named Damini who is under secret mission, with her team to find the truth about some external terrorist activities that is flourishing in the country.
All the three were destined to meet and identify the same thing connecting Bio-war, yet their purpose were different.
What happens next? What were they destined to find? Was it a threat to the country? Will they succeed in solving the mystery that led to Bio-war? Lies the suspense of the story.

About the book:

The plot of the story is beautifully written. Initial pages were little confusing with too many characters and grasping names of the new places and events were bit difficult, yet when we continue to read, it makes things gradually fell in place.
The pacing of the story is good and makes us intrigued creating an eagerness to know what will happen next. The characters as they meet each other gives the actual essence of the story and the action adventure is remarkable.
Too many characters can be found yet their part is subtle and significant.
I admire Sam’s character more, being a protagonist risks his life in finding her girlfriend and finally saves the world. Damini played her part very beautifully yet she could have been portrayed more in terms of identifying and solving the mysteries on other hand Sam was given the focus even though he was a lay man in this prospect. Bravery and patriotism is the wholly delineated in this story.
Bio-war is a major threat to all countries, the author has beautifully depicted its impact and given an insight about it with a fundamental understanding to all.
Overall, it’s an adventurous journey filled with mystery, death, chaos, bravery, patriotism etc., I would like to recommend this book to sci fic readers.

My rating is 🌟🌟🌟🌟 for this beautiful book.

Book Review on The Cave: Secrets within by Preiksha Jain

The Cave Secrets within by Preiksha Jain is a horror with mystery fiction.

About the story:

The story whirls around two women, Shraddha and Prachi were more than friends – possessed by the relationship of love. They are bound to get the same dreams and its more of a vision where it happens in real life.
The vision is more particular about a man, who always lurks around in their dreams.
Pulkit, Shraddha’s brother and a good friend of Prachi suggest them to overcome this insanity and asks them to join a school to identify the cause of this vision problem.
Mr. Ram professor cum head of that school has a son named Agastya has their own mysterious life.
What associates Agastya and his father with the ladies? Why they were destined to get same dream? Who is the stranger always lurking in Shraddha and Prachi’s dream? Will they succeed in finding the hidden truth and free themselves from this curse? Lies the suspense of the story.

About the book:

The storyline is different and unique, yet clarity while explaining the details lacked behind and felt little confusing. Shraddha’s love relationship with Prachi could be avoided from this story, which I felt irrelevant.
The story was good, and I enjoyed reading it. Presence of the evil can be sensed, and I felt a chill went through my spine while reading it. The mystery was maintained till the end without breaking the flavor of the story.
Death scenarios was a breath-taking horror, if visualized those scenes can make us apprehensive. Darkness filled and trepidation involved makes the story more intriguing and perplexed.
Overall, it’s a short read and I recommend to readers who prefers mystery cum horror genre.
My rating is 🌟🌟🌟🌠 star for this mystery book.

Veena being passionate girl gets an opportunity to work as an intern in a company located at Hong Kong, for period of six month. Meanwhile, Ishaan joins another company due to the bitter experience with Vatsal, another intern student who makes things fall apart.

What happens next? Is Veena destined to Ishaan? Who are these new characters that plays a vital role? Will Ishaan be able to regain his self-confidence? Will he succeed in his love life? Lies the suspense of the story.

About the book:

The author has given a different perspective in plotting this love story. Most stories have the focus on both protagonist and their love partner, yet here the story is taken in a distinct way concentrating more into Ishaan’s life rather than Veena combined. It may be both positive and negative impact based on the perspective of the reader.
Ishaan’s journey with stages of love life, that he incurred facing joy, love, rage, anger, fear, insults etc., are concentrated mix of the story. His best friends Aditya, Prateek and their fun together appends to be added flavor to the story.
This story has flash back mode detailing Ishaan’s schooling and college memories which was totally practical which may occur in any person’s life.
Veena’s presence in the story felt much lesser, yet the whole story was plotted for Ishaan to gain her love. Unwanted characters are also seen in between the story, yet they fade away swiftly.
The pacing of the story was precise and intact. I would recommend this book to all readers who are fan of Romance genre.
My rating is 🌟🌟🌟🌠 star for this fiction work.
