Book review on Faith and Beloved by Kochery C Shibu

Faith and beloved by Kochery Shibu is a suspense thriller filled with lust, rage, betrayal and revenge that engages reader with thrill throughout the book. The story whirls around Naithy, Alice and Prem the main characters who plays a leading role in driving the story with gripping attitude.
Alice kills her step-father and runs away, while Prem’s brother Arun gets killed mysteriously and he scrutinize things to find the truth hidden in his brother’s murder are the main aspect of the story.

Each character runs to save their loved ones and even ready to risk their own lives for saving them. Tragedy and twists that makes the story more interesting and livelier. The story deployed with multiple plots enthralling us right from the beginning to the end. Two story lines that takes place side by side and the knots of the story gets removed one by one revealing us the interconnection.

The language is kept simple and the pacing of the story is good yet I felt a bit dragging at some places. Delineating about Kalari a martial art with a legacy of more than 3000 years in the story portrays it more beautifully. Reading is one of the best ways to learn and understand new things, this book drives us to numerous places and make us feel the real adventure through the author’s words.

The author explains each and every situation in a detailed manner and there are too many characters involved that keeps the journey of the story long lasting. The description about each family’s origin is so fascinating and appealing. The book also speaks about the terrorist organizations like ISIS, ISI, LTTE etc., makes the reader appalling at times.

I recommend this book to all readers who prefer thriller genre.

My rating is 🌟🌟🌟🌟 for this vivid book.
