Book review on Silent Defiance by Sonua Motwani

Silent Defiance by Sonia Motwani is a collection of poems.

The author has penned down her thoughts beautifully in the form of a poem and engages the reader to enjoy the essence of the book. It’s an easy read and heartwarming. There are poems which are difficult to understand the hidden meaning behind the phrase, yet this book is totally understandable, relatable, and one can reap through it.

I could find the author’s writing style is like Rupi Kaur’s writing, yet they had their own abstraction of revealing things.

These poems are carved from the concept like love, hurt, envy, peace, jealous, self-discovery, change, self-love, empowering, bravery, passion, and what not included to derive this blissful collection.

Through her words she has created a revolutionary thought filled with self-love, self-discovery and empowerment. It’s always soothing to read a selfless poem like these bringing enlightenment in oneself.

Some of my favorite poems are,
“You cannot bring
shine in your castle
by setting fire in
someone’s kingdom.”
- envy
Making someone
Understand your
Self-worth
Is like speaking
In the language
They don’t wish to know.
- stop pleading

I loved these poems very much; it depicts the truth of life. And there are more lines that touched my heart.

Choosing appropriate titles for writing a poem and adding flavours by including current topics that we deal throughout our life is appreciable and the author has done her part within an impressive outcome.

I would like to recommend this book all readers who loves short poetry collection.
My rating is 🌟🌟🌟🌟 for this heart-touching poem collection.
