Book review on circus folk and village freaks by Aparna Upadhayal Sanyal

Circus Folk and Village Freaks by Aparna Upadhayal Sanyal is a collection 18 twisted tales written in a poetic manner.
The author has penned down the stories in an enigmatic manner and made oneself fall in love for these beautiful poetic stories. The book is themed upon circus and village concept and totally it’s unique, with creativity in abundance.
These stories starts in a village and ends in the circus or vice versa with gory things involved that are horrible to imagine. It can be interpreted as a fairy tale with creepy effect or a folk tale with a grisly ending either way its remarkable work and has incredible storyline.
The stories were written with rhyming words that feels like a song to hear with an unheard tune that flows in our mind. The tale implies upon money, fame, unexpected tragedies, etc., and how they handle such scenarios is entirely different. The characters had their own importance and the words were carefully chosen to maintain the flavor.
The author’s writing style is unique and blissful. Making a reader to understand and enjoy the full essence of the story is reliable. Usually all poems needs more interpretation to understand the meaning of the book, yet this book is a wonder that can be easily understood without putting much effort.
I totally admire this book and its cover looks fabulous. And I am intrigued to explore and read more books written by her.
My rating is 🌟🌟🌟🌟 for this incredible book.
