"Book Review on Pokhran by Uday Singh"
Pokhran by Uday Singh is his debut Novel focussed on the place named Pokhran sprouts the story line of the book.
The
story whirls around protagonist Chaitanya a physically challenged person born
at Pokhran destined to do something for the world. He is an intelligent person
who faced so many challenges and hurdles in his life. The journey of his life
is filled with unexpected twists and turns that makes the story more interesting.
His love and marriage life with Zara is more charming and admirable. It totally
depicts the practicality where love always wins over anything in this world. His desire for quenching his knowledge thirst
and so many heart drenching incidents makes the reader more involved.
Zara’s
quest of saving her community Yazidi’s future with the help of Chaitanya and
her boldness of voicing out for people in need is admirable that depicts her
braveness too. Zara’s appearance makes the story more cherished and pleasing. Radhika,
Chaitanya’s sister who takes care of him completely after his mother demise is
so touching while his father Paramvir even though mean to his son actually made
him more reliable and tough in order to face the world without fear.
The
book in short is a page turner with simple language and an intriguing read. It has
both positive and negative aspects. Positivity is filled were an physically
challenged person does wonder of inventing nuclear stuffs that creates a good
example of nothing is impossible in this world even if we are physically
challenged. Negativity is, too many deaths are found that makes the book less
attractive and sometimes annoyed.
Love,
friendship, death, sorrow, happiness, vengeance, kindness & braveness what
not flavours have been added to make the story more definitive.
The
book is full of tragedies and a common cause of saving people and the desire to
do something for their well-being is the actual message conveyed throughout the
book.
My
rating is 4 stars for this vivid read.
